Infrared Sauna
How is an infrared sauna different? Instead of heating the air, the far infrared rays can penetrate deep within the body, warming you without the suffocating high heat environment of a traditional sauna.

Historically, sauna cleansing has been used as a healing therapy to prevent and treat many different types of disease. Hot Air Baths and Sweat Lodges have been used for thousands of years.
In an Infrared Sauna, infrared rays are used to penetrate your body and heat you up from within. This is different from a typical or steam sauna, that heats the air around you. An infrared sauna works best between 40 and 60 degree Celsius, as anything above 60C negates the infrared rays benefits.
By raising your core body temperature, you are creating an artificial fever and your body goes into overdrive to cool itself back down, doing so by sweating (perspiration). This promotes many positive things happening in the body.

When you arrive, you’ll be asked to change into our sandals.
In your sauna room, you will have towels on the benches to sit on. You can either go in naked or in your bathing suit/underwear.
Note that you might be drenched in sweat by the end of your session, it’s not a good idea to go in fully clothed.
You have the option of putting music on (you can pair your phone to the bluetooth speakers, but please don’t bring your phone in the sauna itself). You can also read or meditate.
Since it’s best to not shower immediately after a session, we will provide you with a washcloth to freshen up. Showering is best done after your body has cooled back down (you will continue to sweat and detoxify until your body temperature is back to normal).
Drink lots of water after your session to ensure you stay hydrated and to fully benefit from your session!

We offer 3 different sessions lengths: 30 mins, 40 mins and 60 mins.
If you are new to Infrared Saunas, we suggest starting with 30 minutes and building up to 60 minutes. Some individuals might not sweat the first couple of times in an infrared sauna session. This is completely normal, you are still receiving the benefits of the infrared rays.

Do’s and Don’t’s of

Drink lots of water
As you sweat, you need to replenish! It’s important to drink water before and after your session
Check with your Dr or pharmacist to ensure there are no contradictions with your meds.
Some meds are sensitive to temperature change, so please check!
Check with your Dr if you have:
any cardiovascular conditions
chronic illness
to ensure that raising your body temperature won’t be an issue!
Listen to your body!
If you are starting to experience any nausea, dizziness or pain/discomfort during your session, get out of the sauna and start the cool down process!
Use the towels provided!
We keep a clean facility and to help us this, please use the towels we provide to sit on.

Shower immediately after your session.
We provide you with washcloths to freshen up. It’s always best to let your body cool down naturally, as the benefits continue far after your session is over.
Consume alcohol or stimulants before your session.
We reserve the right to refuse service.
Bring electronics in the sauna with you.
Eat a heavy meal 1-2 hours before your session.
Use lotions prior to your session
They might hinder the perspiration process and possibly stain our sauna.
